Garden City Group Remits Another Round of Full Tilt Payouts in the US

Full Tilt poker players that have been waiting to receive payouts for years may be included in this round of payments from Garden City Group, the 3rd party company hired by the US government to handle this process.

Full Tilt Poker was seized by the US federal government in 2011 and it's been quite the lengthy process to pay balances owed to players.

Garden City received the approval from the Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section to remit additional payments, a decision that will see almost 1,200 people receive their share of $2.6 million.

The company began processing returns in 2014 offering recipients the opportunity to file official requests for balances. It was this process that has been the cause of delays in completing the payouts. The fact is many have disputed the amounts said to be remaining in their Full Tilt Poker accounts at the time of the seizure.

Despite delays, Garden City says that 94 percent of the requests filed have been processed and paid out.

'GCG continues to work with the Department of Justice to evaluate the remaining petitions,' the company said in a press release.

Thus far, of the $159 million owed to players, approximately $112 million has already been paid to players according to the government.

I sincerely hope that this pending lawsuit is resolved as soon as possible, many people had small amounts in the account at Full Tilt Poker, but several frequent players built a reputable banking, working hard to make a profit. Sounds like Garden City Group wants to advance payments proceeding an investigation of the differences noted in the accounts that some players complain
