Anthony Gregg, born in Columbia Maryland is a professional poker player. He is one of the youngest players on the all-time leaderboard for all-time money winners.
He got his start in poker playing Magic the Gathering. A popular card based game that many of today's poker pros have roots in. In 2002, he began to play poker more seriously after playing with some friends who were also Magic players.
He got his star online and has won over$1 million playing online. He was mainly a cash game specialist at the mid stakes and made his living off that for some time. The lure of tournaments was too much and he would begin to play more and more live tournaments.
His first big cash would come in 2008 at the Borgata Poker Open. This would be the first of many to come.
His live tournament winnings are among the top of the leaders. He has almost $9 million in lifetime earnings. His biggest win by far was at the 2013 WSOP. He would go on to win the second ever Big One for One Drop tournament and pocket over $4 million. This would catapult him to the top of all time money winners in the world.
His second biggest cash is no joke either. He would place runner up at the 2009 EPT event at the PCA for $1.7 million.
All in all, Anthony has 2 final tables at the WSOP with one bracelet. He also has 2 final tables at the WPT and 1 title coming in 2012 at the Main Event Parx Open. Add in another 2 final tables on the EPT and he is one of the best poker resumes.
Aside from playing all the time, Anthony is big into staking other players. While focusing on cash games, he would regularly stake live tournament players with his own cash. This netted him a healthy profit for doing very little work. It helped to boost his bankroll so that he could play bigger himself.
