Antony Gregg was born in Columbia Maryland in the United States. He's also one of the biggest money winners in poker tournament history.
The big name pro got his start playing online in 2007. But he did begin playing live almost immediately. He would have immediate success in both ventures, cashing and winning numerous events. Hi first major cash came online in 2007 when he placed 3rd in the Sunday Millions at Poker Stars for $70,000. His largest cash online was in 2011 when he won the Sunday Millions for $195,000.
To date, Gregg has almost $1 million in online winnings and over $9 million in live winnings. He has won over $5 million of this at the WSOP alone. He's made 3 final tables and has 1 WSOP bracelet.
His lone WSOP bracelet was in 2013 when he won the $111,111 buy in One Drop event. His take home was $4.8 million. Other final tables at the WSOP include a 2012 final table appearance in the $2,500 buy in 4 handed event where he finished 4th for $140,000. And the other a 6th place finish in the 2014 $1,000 buy in turbo event for $40,000.
Prior to winning the one drop event, Gregg had another million dollar cash to his name. He would place 2nd in the 2009 Pokerstars.com main event on the EPT. His cash would be for $1.7 million.
He has won a total of $2 million at the EPT. He had another near million dollar cash when he placed 2nd at the EPT Grand Final in Monaco for $996,000. Both cashes make up for his 2 final tables and only cashes on the EPT.
Aside from a WSOP bracelet, he adds a WPT title to his credit. In 2012 he would win the WPT Parx Open Main Event for $416,000. His total winnings on the WPT are $611,000.
Other notable cashes to his resume include a 6th place at the 2012 PCA for $364,000. A 3rd place finish in the $25,000 buy in Super High Roller series at the Aria for $262,000. He would come close to this winning event in 2015 when he placed 2nd for $140,000.
