Brent Carter was born in 1948 in Oak Park Illinois. He has been playing poker professionally since 1988. He is one of the more consistent players we've seen and has built an impressive resume over his time on the tournament circuit.
Early in his career, he played Stud a good bit and saw some decent results in this form of poker. He also played Omaha and has won quite a few Omaha tournaments in his career.
Brent has own over $3 million dollars in his long time playing. While 3 million is an impressive amount, it's more impressive when you look at his results. He doesn't have a cash of more than $300,000. And his next best cash is just half that. To win $3 million this way is the true meaning of consistency.
Almost half of his winnings come at the WSOP. He has a very impressive resume here with 54 cashes. Hess made 23 final tables and has even won 2 bracelets. Oddly enough, his best cash as of 2014 isn't even a win. He final tabled the main event of the WSOP in 1995 and placed 3rd for $302,000. This would be his best cash in the WSOP and all of his tournaments.
His first bracelet came in 1991. He would win a $1,500 no limit hold em event for $166,000. Four years later he would win his second bracelet in a limit Omaha event for $83,000. Most of his final tables have came in some form of Omaha and he's got a handful of runner up finishes.
Carter even dabble online where he goes by the screenname '92848'. In 2008, showed he's no old man and won a WCOOP event for over $88,000. This event was a Pot Limit Omaha event further solidifying his place as one of the best Omaha players in the world.
Brent now resides in Florida where he is still a regular at the tables. He can be seen playing most of the Omaha tournaments in the area and across the United States.
