Brian Rast

Brian Rast is a professional poker player who hails from Las Vegas Nevada. He was born 1981 in Denver Colorado. Although he was born in Denver, Brian moved to Poway California in his younger year.

Brian began playing poker in 2003 after watching the movie 'Rounder's' It was then he decided to play the game online. Before becoming a full time professional poker player, Brian attended the University of Stanford. He would graduate high school as valedictorian before as well.

After taking on poker more seriously, he decided to drop out of college and start playing full time. He would get his start online and play at the major sites under the name - 'tsarrast' He has over $350,000 in online winnings to date. This is quite impressive given he doesn't play online almost at all these days.

Some of his more impressive online results include a 3rd place finish in the Poker Stars Sunday Millions for $73,000 and a 3rd place finish in the FTOPs main event for $113,000.

Rast is also an online poker training professional at the popular training site - Poker VT. He was also a member of the now defunct poker site Victory Poker.

Brian has accumulated most of his winning live. He has over $6.2 million in live tournament winnings to date. His biggest cash was a 1st place finish at the 2011 $50,000 buy in poker player's championship for over $1.7 million.

To date, Brian has over $4 million in WSOP earnings with 20 cashes and 6 final tables. He also has 2 bracelets to his resume.

His first bracelet came in 2011 at the Poker Players Championship. His 2nd came the same year in the $1,500 pot limit hold em event for over $227,000.

Brian has 3 very large scores to his credit. All are worth over $1 million. And all came in successive years - 2011, 2012 and 2013. His latest score came at the 2013 WPT $100,000 buy in where he took first. Brian was also the first member of the final table for the first ever Big One for One Drop tournament which was a million dollar buys in.

Brian has won on all levels in poker and plays some of the highest buy ins around. He always shows up with his best game and proves he has the talent to be at the top with the best of them.
