Byron Kaverman

Bryon Kaverman is a young poker pro from Ohio in the United States. He was born 1987 in Ohio and still calls this his home.

He has been playing poker since 2005 both online and live. He attended the Tiffin University where he was earning a degree in psychology. I guess there's not a better degree you could earn to be a poke player.

In 2008, he would taste his first real success. At the 2008 WSOP he would make his first live cash. It wasn't an amazing finish but the 37th place finish earned him a little over $7,000 to his bankroll and gave him the itch to keep playing.

Since he began playing in 2005, Byron has earned over $4.2 million in live tournament winnings. He has 3 final tables on the WPT and numerous wins in high roller events. His total of 60 live cashes also include 17 at the WSOP.

While he has yet to make a final table at the WSOP he has won nearly half a million there.

His WPT final tables total $1.1 million in earnings. His largest cash to date was at the WPT when he placed 2nd in the 2014 $5 million guarantee tournament. He would win $727,000.

He does have some final tables at the EPT but all in high roller events. Aloes in 2014 he would place 5th in the Monte Carlo EPT for $468,000 and his 2nd largest cash to date. In 2011 he would win event 17 at the PCA WPT for $320,000.

What he is best known for as of late is his impressive back to back finishes at the Aria. In 2015, he would win the Friday night high roller $25,000 event for $282,000. A day later he would play the same tournament and place 2nd for another $282,000. Technically he would chop the first place winnings and go on the record as finishing 2nd. Were sure he could have won, but a deal is quite common in tournaments.

Currently he is ranked number 9 in the world and number 5 in the United States according to the Global Poker Index. He's been as high as number 4 in the world. He's also a regular in the top 50 of the Player of the Year race for all the top publications. His highest ranking as of 2015 is 25 on the Player of the Year Race.
