Can Kim Hua not only has one of the coolest names in the poker world, but he has some of the best results.
He was born in Vietnam and now lives in Rosemead California.
Kim is one of the best and most active poker players in the world. He is known for playing any event he can. He's the hardest working man in poker some would say. But not only does he play as many events as he can; he usually cashes in them as well.
His total live tournament earnings are $3.1 million. This is a lot of money considering Kim plays any buy in event. This includes $200 buy in and even $100 buy in events all around the world. This is what makes his results so good. He just doesn't play the $10K buy ins, he plays everything.
His first win in a tournament was in 1998 when he won a $200 buy in event for $18,000. Since then he has done nothing but cash.
At the WSOP Kim has cashed 24 times and won over $770,000. He has made 5 final tables with his latest in 2013. His first final would be his best cash in 2005. He would final the $1, 5000 buy in event but finish 4th for $200,000. He would lose to Scott Fischman and Allen Cunningham.
Other final tables include one in 2013 when he came close to winning his first bracelet in a $1,500 buy in Omaha 8 or Better event. His take home would be $171,000. This would be the closest he has come to winning that elusive bracelet. Some call him the best player to have not won a bracelet.
On the WPT Kim has made 3 final tables and won half a million dollars. In 2004 alone he made 2 finals when he finaled the LA Poker classic and the Borgata Open. Both times he would win these events.
In 207 he would come close to winning the California State Championship and finish 2nd for $166,000.
Kim has no results on the EPT as he has yet to play one of these.
