Carter King

Carter King was born and raised in Columbia South Carolina. He was born in 1985. Before playing as a professional he attended the University of South Carolina. His online game is what he is known for and he has one of the most impressive online resumes we've seen.

He goes by the name 'ckingusc' on every site he plays. On Poker Stars he became one of the top money winners by the age 21. His total earnings on Poker Stars is over $2.3 million alone. Overall, he has won nearly $3 million playing online.

Live, he has won half a million and made some major finals. His first ever cash was live in 2007 during a WSOP Circuit Event in New Orleans. He made the final table of event 2 and would place 2nd for $40,000. Not bad for your first major cash.

At the WSOP he has cashed 12 times for $189,000. He also has 1 final table at the WSOP. In 2008 he made the final table of the $1350 buy in Pot Limit Hold Em event finishing 7th for $34,000. He's also cashed in the main event several times.

Like I said before, it's online where he has made a real name for himself. With his $3 million in winnings, he is one of the winningest players in online tournament history. At one point he was ranked 13th in world online.

His biggest win came in 2008, just a year after playing the game. He would chop the 2008 WCOOP Main Event on Poker Stars 5 ways. The players would go on to play for positions and Carter would take the event down for $1.2 million. This was a record win at the time and immediately made him a superstar. A year later he would win the Poker Stars Sunday Million for $193,000.

On Full Tilt he has won nearly half a million too. His best cash on this site was in 2008 as well. He final tabled the FTOPS event 21 and finished 6th for $101,000.

He has a total of 696 cashes online and numerous wins and final tables. While just 29, he has many years to play and build his resume to possibly become one of the biggest winners online ever! With the troubles playing online that many Americans face these days, King focuses more on live poker and is doing ok for himself.
